MEET SAMANTHA SCALIA, MSN, FNP-C

Samantha Scalia is thrilled to join the VitalCare Family Practice team as a Family Nurse Practitioner at our Chesterfield location. She attended James Madison University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor Of Science in Nursing. She completed her nurse residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Health and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. She is also an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.

Samantha is most passionate about providing patient-centered care. Her goal is to empower her patients to make the best decisions for their health, fostering a trusting relationship to help them find solutions that are right for their unique values, goals and needs. Samantha specializes in preventative care, women’s health screenings, diabetes management, wound care, weight loss and vaccination education. She also has experience in occupational health injury triage and continued care, as well as performing pre-employment physicals.

When she’s not working, Samantha enjoys hiking around the James River, playing tennis, reading and spending time with her partner, family and pets. She loves to cook for others, and takes a particular interest in trying new foods and recreating the recipes at home. She encourages her patients to bring in family recipes for her to try recreating, and will happily report back on how they turned out.
