MEET DR. ZAHIR AHMED

Zahir Ahmed, MD, joined the VitalCare Family Practice Chesterfield team as an experienced Family Medicine and Urgent Care Physician. He is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) and is board certified by the American Board of Urgent Care Medicine. Dr. Ahmed has completed medical training at St. Joseph Community Care in Tampa, Florida, as well as family medicine training through Dubai Health. In recognition of his dedication to patient care, he was honored with a Frontline COVID-19 Response Award.

Dr. Ahmed specializes in chronic disease management, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and lung disease. He also has a strong interest in preventive care, health promotion, obesity and metabolic syndrome management and acute and urgent care services. He values the opportunity to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care and is committed to building long-term relationships that support each patient’s overall health and well-being.

Outside of the office, Dr. Ahmed enjoys staying active through walking, hiking and exercise. He values spending time with his family and enjoys traveling and long drives. Originally from Dubai, he appreciates the Chesterfield area’s proximity to beaches, parks and shopping destinations.
