Shanae Williams joined the VitalCare Family Practice team as a Physician Assistant in 2025. She completed her undergraduate studies at Winston-Salem State University where she achieved a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry before earning a Master of Science in Physician Assistant from South University–Richmond.
Shanae Williams is passionate about lifestyle medication and has contributed to multiple research projects with Wake Forest University and George Washington University highlighting the importance of wound care to patients with diabetes, the socioeconomic impacts in adolescence and pharmacotherapeutic alternatives to managing opiate addictions.
With a desire to help patients achieve a more fulfilling quality of life, Shanae Williams provides patients with positive lifestyle modifications in a fun, innovative way so change doesn’t feel as intimidating. Shanae Williams finds it rewarding to witness growth in her patients’ lives and help them triumph over health challenges. She enjoys learning about her patients and being a positive resource for them while providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and respectful environment.
Outside of work, Shanae Williams enjoys putting together puzzles with her family, playing volleyball, crafting and cooking. As a native of the Chesterfield area, Shanae Williams enjoys being close to family and giving back to the community where she grew up.
